FWNC Socials Transformation
This semester as a class we are tasked with strengthening the Fort Worth Nature Center’s social media presence. Enhancing someone’s digital engagement with the community requires an understanding of what the community wants to see and how the Nature Center can attend to their needs.
Meeting the team: Creating a social media presence means talking about the organization and getting to know the individuals behind the operations. By personalizing their socials with introductions with the staff members, the Nature Center will give the viewers a more personalized connection. It will show the personalities behind the dedicated individuals who make the Nature Center what it is. We would highlight their interests and unique insights. It will humanize the Nature Center if we also include the bloopers that showcase their individual personalities.
Dog: Having a spotlight on Dog would strengthen their social media presence. It’s an unexpected and unique type of animal that no one has really seen before. The initial shock would drive viewers. Something that could be funny is having a ‘day in the life’ vlog of what Dog does in a day. It could be educational and humorous.
Professional photos: Finally, sometimes pictures speak louder than words. Upgrading the photos to more professional visuals can enhance their socials. It can attract attention from outsiders who don’t know anything about the Nature Center.
